Presentation of our

PEDALS - GUITARS - MICS sale

For the launch of our sale on June 18, we decided to present you some emblematic objects and instruments. This selection was based on several criteria: their history, their rarity or their characteristics ...

Mosrite The Ventures Red Neck 1964 Vintage Rare

MOSRITE - SOLID-BODY GUITAR
The Ventures, 1964
N°36 - 4 700 EUR - 8 000 EUR

The first guitar presented is the Mosrite, The Ventures model. You can find it on the cover of our catalog as well as in our video presentation.

This guitar came from the United States. it's both classic and elegant: it represents the cool Californian wave of the 60s. Its unique appearance has allowed it to become a classic in the electric guitars world.

Light and practical, you will be surprised by the fluidity of its guitar neck: it is easy to play, even in the high tones.

Mosrite is a pure product of the time: 100% red. Everything is original, only the potentiometers have been replaced. It is both a collector's item and a real rock tool that we offer you. And the great thing is, the red neck is a custom order because the vintage color was only applied in Head stock match on series models. "Walk don’t run" but don't hang around anyway! You can find the guitar on the link here.

The second guitar we have chosen is the Gibson's "Proto I" Ronnie Woods model.

Ronnie Wood (born in 1947), ex bass player of the Jeff Beck Group, ex guitarist of the Faces and the current second guitarist of the Rolling Stones since 1975, left a guitar in his name on the the Gibson Custom Shop workshops. From the L5-S, introduced by the firm at the end of 1972, the "Proto I" is at the origin of a series of 250 pieces including fifty guitars signed by Mister Wood.⁣

This is the Gibsunday with this 2015 SuperJumbo !⁣

⁣This guitar is an excellent reproduction of the famous Dylan. The guitar finitions are stunning, as well in the fineness of the varnish, as in the quality of the mother-of-pearl and incrusations (Bella Voce mother of pearl inlays.) The selection of the woods is also good with a table in Adirondack (traditional dam). She is also equipped with an LR Baggs amplification system, but the acoustics of the guitar are more than enough, with rich and defined notes, full bass and crystal-clear highs.⁣

Höfner was founded in 1887 by luthier Karl Höfner⁣.

First producer of violins, violas, cellos and double basses, Höfner added acoustic guitars to his productions of bowed string instruments from 1920. The first electrified versions appeared in 1953.

The popularity of jazz then rock'n roll assures them of a growing audience in Germany as well as for export, and in particular in the United Kingdom, where American guitars were banned for import in the 1950s. The reputation of the Höfner brand suddenly becomes global with the Höfner type 500/1 bass by Paul McCartney (Beatles).⁣⁣

ARCHTOP GUITAR - HÖFNER

N° 28 - 1100 - 1700  EUR

This Gretsch, a New Yorker model, made during the 40’s (circa 42) belonged to an American soldier who was a music fan. He decided to bring his instrument in France and not to part with it despite the war. After the liberation of August 1944, the soldier, before returning to his native land, left his guitar to a young Brest teenager.⁣

Touched by this gift, the new owner never gave it up since. He learned the guitar with his Gretsch and started a band "Brasiléro" inspired by South American influences.⁣

This guitar is one of the team’s favorites for its history.⁣

Solidpeghead has been modified for a flottedtuners position⁣

Neck, maple. Finger Board, rosewood. Front, maple. Back&sides, maple.⁣

Workshop founded in 1996 by Nik Huber, the guitars of the same name impress by their qualities. You will find in this guitar, a detail in the selection of woods, surgical machining, and finishes that will make you see them in all colors.

It’s also a guitar easy to play thanks to its neck profile (generous C profile) and the overall balance of the instrument. Unfortunately, you have to wait a very long time before becoming the owner of a Nik Huber: the production, in a concern of quality, remains intimate (about 120 instruments per year), and the orders are linked on a disproportionately international market. If you want to order a Nik Huber, expect a very long delay … ⁣

GUITARE SOLID-BODY - NIK HUBER
MODELE - Krautster II,

N° 47 - 2700 - 3000 EUR

The "Strat" is perhaps the most legendary model of electric guitars. A major emblem of the 20th century instruments, that never stops to reinvent itself and influences its competitors. Perhaps it is thanks to its “stratospheric” design?

Released on the market in 1954, the guitar quickly took center of the stage, first played on by two bluesmen, Buddy Guy and Otis Rush, who pushed the limits of the instrument. But the instrument gained popularity thanks to the young Texan guitarist: Buddy Holly. Mixing country, rockabily, rock'n'roll and pop, it infuses a touch of modernity with its stratocaster.
Now popular, we find the instrument in the hands of many artists in the 60s: Dick Dale "the king of surf rock" with his gold strat for lefties, John Lennon and Georges Harrison with their strats of 61 Sonic Blue, that were used for recording Help and Rubber Soul albums, Bob Dylan who used a strat during his switch to electric guitar at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, Eric Clapton with his "Brownie" of 1956, suspended during a tour for Cream and especially Jimi Hendrix, at the end of the 60s, which forever changed the way we play electric guitar…

The guitar presented is magnificent Stratocaster from 1956 in a rarely observed condition. "La belle" has stood the test of time alongside a conscientious owner considering the little wear mark that the instrument and the accessories underwent. (case, strap, Jack, invoice, strings from 1956) it is therefore an absolute rarity that we present to you today.
Beyond a 100% original instrument, the piece of ash used for the body of this guitar offers an unusual pattern that gives it a strong identity. Once connected it's even better. In Fenderian mythology we would call it a gift from the god Leonidas.
